In Falkensee, Germany, Dualsun has reached a new milestone with its first installation of SPRING4 hybrid panels for solar thermal systems. This innovative project, carried out in partnership with installer Novatus, marks the introduction of solar thermal coupling to a market in search of sustainable energy solutions. Already deployed in France, this innovative coupling is now being exported to Germany for the first time, offering a high-performance, environmentally-friendly alternative to solar heating.

An innovative hybrid solution
The system installed at Natasha’s, owner of a house equipped with 12 SPRING4 panels, combines the latest version of Dualsun hybrid panels with a solar-thermal heat pump. Together, they produce :
- Electricity from the photovoltaic side of the panels.
- Domestic hot water and solar heating via the thermal energy captured by the thermal side.
Unlike traditional air-to-water heat pumps, the Dualsun solarothermal solution requires no outdoor unit, reducing noise and visual impact. An ideal solution for homes like Natasha’s, which now benefit from a quiet, high-performance system.
Testimony from a pioneer in Germany
For Natasha, the project was a real success: “My old boiler was at the end of its life, and I was looking for a more ecological and economical solution. With the SPRING4 panels and solarothermal heat pump, I produce my own electricity, hot water and solar heating. The result: savings of up to 90% on my energy bills and a greatly reduced carbon footprint.”
Positive feedback from installers
During a visit to the site, Mr. Schirm, Managing Director of Novatus, confirmed the advantages of this installation: “The SPRING4s are distinguished by their quality, watertightness and ease of installation. These features perfectly match the expectations of the German market, where demand for eco-responsible solutions is growing quickly.”
Amazing performance
The SPRING4 hybrid panel offers major technological advances:
- Photovoltaic side: 425 Wp power, 21.80% efficiency, and exceptional durability with 87.40% performance guaranteed after 30 years.
- Thermal side: Up to 1400 Wth during the day, optimizing energy efficiency for heating and hot water.
This solution also offers one of the lowest carbon footprints on the market, with just 10 g CO₂e/kWh, in line with Germany’s ambitious energy transition targets.
Technology already deployed in France
This first in Germany follows on from Dualsun’s success in France, where solar thermal installations are already in place. With its SPRING4 panel, Dualsun offers a hybrid technology that is accessible, sustainable and adapted to the energy challenges facing European households.
On the road to more sustainable energy
By combining innovation, performance and reliability, Dualsun is demonstrating that hybrid solar energy can be a concrete response to the challenges of decarbonization and energy optimization. This first project in Germany paves the way for wider adoption of solar thermal systems throughout Europe!
