A high-performance photovoltaic system
For this project, 629 Dualsun FLASH photovoltaic modules with a total output of 261 kWp were installed. These low-carbon solar panels, renowned for their high performance and reliability, enable optimized electricity production throughout the day. Combined with HUAWEI SUN2000 inverters and the SOPRASOLAR Fix Evo structure, they guarantee optimum yield and robust integration on the warehouse roof.
Strategic energy autonomy
With a 24-hour operation and high electricity consumption linked to refrigeration needs, it was essential for Le Glaçon to implement a sustainable and competitive energy solution. The solar installation enables the warehouse to be self-sufficient in electricity during the day for its cold production needs, reducing its dependence on the power grid and contributing to local energy stability.
Thanks to self-consumption, the company optimizes its operating costs by reducing its electricity bill, while protecting itself against energy market price fluctuations. In La Réunion, where sunshine is abundant all year round, this technological choice maximizes the site’s energy efficiency and guarantees an attractive long-term return on investment.
Solar energy: an essential solution for industrial sites
Today, solar energy is a key solution for industrial sites wishing to combine economic performance with environmental responsibility. With rising electricity costs and the need to reduce companies’ carbon footprints, photovoltaics represents a sustainable and competitive alternative. Large industrial roofs, often unused, are ideal surfaces for the installation of solar panels, enabling the production of green electricity in a short circuit. Integrating solar power into industrial infrastructures not only contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions, but also to securing energy supplies, a crucial issue in the face of current tensions on the grid. By opting for this technology, companies are investing in a forward-looking solution that combines energy resilience, cost reduction and a commitment to the energy transition.
A significant environmental impact
Thanks to this solar power plant, Le Glaçon is considerably reducing its CO₂ emissions, with an estimated saving of 290 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year. This project is part of a global approach to energy transition and resource optimization, demonstrating a real commitment to a more sustainable model.
Dualsun: a quality choice for maximum efficiency
The Dualsun photovoltaic panels installed on Le Glaçon feature advanced TOPCon technology, offering optimum energy yield thanks to high-conversion cells. Their bifacial design captures light from both sides, maximizing electricity production even in difficult conditions. With over 300 quality control points, these panels guarantee reliability, durability and long-term performance, perfectly meeting the needs of energy-intensive infrastructures.
A model for the future
The Glaçon project is a perfect example of how solar energy can be effectively integrated into industrial infrastructures, even in sectors requiring high energy consumption.
At Dualsun, thanks to our local partner, we are proud to support ambitious projects like the Glaçon, providing high-quality solar solutions tailored to the needs of each site.
