At Parly 2, a solar roof with 48 Dualsun photovoltaic panels

It was the very first shopping center to be built in France in 1969, based on the American mall model.

With 13 million visitors a year, Parly 2 has undergone seven years of renovations to keep up with current consumer trends. BREEAM-certified, in 2018 it was equipped with 48 Dualsun FLASH solar panels, and now consumes its own solar energy.

The BREEAM label is a method for assessing the environmental performance of buildings. Developed by the Buiding Research Establishment – BRE, it is a benchmark standard for sustainable construction. It is also equivalent to the Haute Qualité Environnementale (HQE) standard in France.

In the case of Parly 2, 48 Dualsun photovoltaic panels were installed on canopies. Thanks to the SopraSolar Fix Evo fastening system on studs, it was possible to maintain the waterproofing bond with the membrane, without weighing down the awning with ballast.

Commissioned by Parly 2 owner Unibail-Rodamco and operated by prime contractor DALKIA, the solar panel site was installed by a partner company in the Dualsun network.
