“My sister and I came to ecology on our own, she through cooking and I through my previous job. I then became interested in ecological housing, passive houses and even energy-positive houses. I’m interested in new technological solutions, water management issues… “
Gingko is an attractive new concept located on the edge of the Parc National des Calanques in Marseille’s 9th arrondissement. Describing itself as an “ethical villa”, Ginkgo is a 250m2 ecological and committed establishment offering three original, plant-based guest rooms, a restaurant and a vegetable garden.
“An application allows me to see in real time what I consume, what I produce and what I sell over several months, it’s interesting.”
From the outset Raphaël and Charlène wanted solar panels, but it was our Dualsun hybrid panels that finally won their preference. “When we started looking for solar solutions, we were first interested in what was being done locally because we have a local approach. Then we heard about Dualsun’s hybrid technology, and we liked it”.
The DualSun panels are perfectly suited to the needs of the restaurant and B&B: “Our restaurant business means we need to consume more energy during the day than a conventional house, which is empty during the day. Our self-consumption solar installation makes perfect sense here, and we can make it pay for itself even more quickly than a conventional home.
