Jérôme Mouterde, co-founder and CEO of DualSun recently had the opportunity to install “his” solar panels on his roof. It was an opportunity for him to live the customer experience from start to finish.

An update on the project ⬇️

“This is a great step for our family because we have reduced our impact on the environment. It is also a way for me to be in my personal life in accordance with my professional commitment and the creation of the DualSun company”

The Performance and Production of a Solar Panel [Guide]

When he and his wife were looking for a house to buy, their selection criteria were very specific.

They needed a house big enough for their family, close enough to work and above all with a roof to be redone!

It was an 18th century house in the heart of a Provencal village that caught their attention. After 6 months of renovation, the DualSun solar system was installed: 27 DualSun FLASH photovoltaic panels and 6 DualSun SPRING hybrid solar panels!

Jérôme’s testimony

When renovating our house we obviously paid a lot of attention to energy aspects. First by insulating it very well, then by installing a wood stove for heating and then by covering the roof with DualSun solar panels for our hot water and electricity.

Jerome chose the ECH2O Sun system in partnership with Daikin to make his home energy self-sufficient.  ECH2O SUN is a combination of a Daikin semi-instantaneous hot water tank, a Daikin generator (here a Daikin Monobloc Thermodynamic Water Heater on Ambient Air / Outdoor Air) and DualSun Spring panels.

At the end of the 2nd day of installation, all the panels were installed on the roof. The 3rd day was devoted to the installation of the equipment necessary for the operation of the system in the house:

I decided to call on one of our approved DualSun installers. They came to install rails on the roof on which they then placed the panels. The photovoltaic part is connected in the house to a Solaredge inverter, and the thermal part is connected to the Daikin hot water tank that will be commissioned by the company. I am very satisfied with the work, the installation company is very professional and did not make any mistakes while working in record time.

Enjoying the sun when it shines 300 days a year is a given for his wife. When you have the right amount of space on your roof with the right orientation and you have good products, it’s a mistake to hold back! This old house which was very energy consuming is now energy positive.

Jérôme hopes that this installation will inspire others to equip themselves with solar panels.

If everyone covered their available roofs we could all take a step towards energy autonomy in our homes.
